27: A LOUIS XV STYLE HIGHLY CARVED WALNUT CONSOLE

The serpentine rectangular incurving top having a black variegated white and brown marble top over a conforming frieze centering a stylized laughing lion's mask flanked by scrolling acanthus and blossoming branches, the sides with stylized rocaille on four cabriole legs stylized rocaille and trailing bellflower carved hips ending joined by an "X" form stretcher with acanthus and flame-form pendant.
Measures 31.5 x 50 x 17 inches.
Good condition, noting a repaired break to the back proper right corner of the black marble top. There are no other issues of damage or repair, no heavy wear or abuse.
