Each of rectangular form with hinged lid, one of burled walnut having central inlaid plaque, opening to a red baize interior and ivory shield-shaped escutcheon with brass bound edges, fabric label inscribed 'GARNESSON Palais Royal'; the other mounted with a bone shield-shape plaque and escutcheon, the lid encompassed with fittings of conforming material.
Measure 3.75 x 5.25 x 10 inches, smaller 3 x 4 x 10 inches.
Very good condition throughout.
