208: A W.B. MELICK CLINOMETER INCLONIMETER GRADING SCALE

The rare machinist's tool used for striking angles, cast iron frame with spindle gallery and central circular opening housing a mechanism with silvered hand-engraved dial with two scales, maker's name, PAT'D December 3rd, 1889, '1/2 INCH TO THE FOOT.' Manufactured in St. Louis, Missouri.
Measures 3.25 x 12 x 1.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting it appears to have been repainted. Dial spins freely and appears to be accurate.
