The sheet iron rectangular sign with applied brass frame and lettering, the Cincinnatian was a high speed luxury line that ran various routes from just after WWII, this heavy iron sign with applied brass script lettering likely graced the combination baggage coach/lounge car on this train that first operated from Baltimore to Cincinnati, and then switched to Detroit-Cincinnati.
Measures 20 x 33 inches.
Very good original condition, noting the appearance of corrosion painted over in black, the brass appliques are intact and without damage or loss.
