The rare and important hardware from this famous Western Maryland Railroad Pacific Class passenger locomotive that along with number 205 pulled passenger trains from the early teens until around 1957, a classic three-digit cast iron number board with fancy raised gold numerals against black porcelain enamel ground, plus the distinctive figural bronze casting of an eagle with spread wings, unique in that these graced the Western Maryland locomotives just above the headlight atop the boiler, see http://www.trainweb.org/randysrr/wm/wm204.htm. for an example of this very engine number 204. possibly Baldwin 38078 of 1912.
Plate measures 13 x 36 inches. Eagle measures 12 x 23.5 x 6.5 inches.
Very good condition as shown, there are no issues of wear or damage beyond a bit of porcelain loss at one very extreme corner.
